Herbs

When people lived in the castle they grew herbs which they could use for all kinds of things around the castle. Herbs are very useful even today, below are the four main uses of herbs.

1. Culinary – These are the herbs which have nice flavours so can be used in cooking to make food taste nice.
2. Medicinal – These are herbs which were used to make medicines for curing all kinds of ailments.
3. Aromatic – These are the herbs that have a pleasant smell or aroma, they would be used to make the bedrooms in the castle smell nice.
4. Dye plants – These are plants and herbs which we can get colours from to make dye. This would then be used to dye the cloth to make clothes and other items.
